My name is Lorissa! (she/her)

I am a self-published author & graphic designer. I live in New Jersey with my husband, our two toddlers, our chocolate lab and most recently...our cat!

I have had a passion for art and books since I was a little girl. After dreaming of writing my own book and creating art to share with the world, I decided to finally take the steps to make my dreams into a reality.

My Story

I have been an avid reader since third grade when I picked up Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (I stand with Harry not JKR). While I usually struggled with reading and reading comprehension, I learned that if a book interested me I could devour it in days. Thus, created my love of reading (with the right books).

Before I ever started reading, I have been incredibly passionate about art. While I may have been a senior in freshman math classes, I was excelling in AP Art. I used to draw and paint, but life as a mom of two littles made those two art mediums difficult to keep up with. That was when I found graphic design! I mainly use Photoshop and Procreate now to create custom illustrations, logos, tattoo designs, and book covers for indie authors.

Pouring my heart into two of my favorite things - books & art - has brought a lot of healing during a time of my life when it was very much needed. I'm thankful for the incredible community I've found during this journey and for the love and support they bring me each day.
